Business Intelligence Analyst

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: South America, Latin America, Colombia

Workana is the largest remote work platform for talent in Latin America. Our division focuses on matching exceptional professionals with leading and innovative companies around the globe.

About the Client

Art Remedy Brands is a leading design and manufacturing company that has been redefining the wall art category since 2003, operating across direct-to-consumer (e-commerce), major retail partnerships, third-party marketplaces, and B2B wholesale channels. As a founder-led, fast-growing company, Art Remedy is actively building out its data infrastructure and strategic reporting capabilities to support scaling across all channels.

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their growing data and analytics function to build automated dashboards, analyze sales and margin data across channels, and translate complex numbers into strategic narratives that drive leadership decision-making.

This is a fully remote opportunity for professionals based in Latin America, working closely with an international team in an English-speaking environment.

Role Overview

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a central role in how senior leadership—including the CEO and SVP of Operations—understands business performance. You will own the end-to-end dashboard development, SQL data modeling, and reporting automation while analyzing sales, gross margin, and channel profitability.

We are looking for an analytical professional who can work autonomously in a remote, async-first environment, connect data directly to business strategy, and communicate actionable insights fluently in English.

Selection Process

The process usually consists of 4 stages and takes on average 4–6 weeks to be completed, depending on eventual additional technical rounds or take-home tests.

  • Initial interview with recruiting team
  • Technical interview with client
  • Cultural fit interview with client's manager
  • Final interview with C-level

As Workana has multiple clients, if you pass the 1st round with Workana's recruiting team, you will be eligible to be presented to different clients in case the 1st one doesn't succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and enhance automated dashboards in Looker / Google Data Studio to track revenue, gross margin, and operational KPIs across all channels.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries in BigQuery to extract, transform, and model data from ERPs, e-commerce platforms, and marketplace APIs.
  • Produce monthly business intelligence reports that synthesize performance metrics into executive-ready narratives for leadership.
  • Design automated reporting workflows utilizing Google Sheets, BigQuery, and BI tools to minimize manual intervention.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and leading indicators in product mix and channel performance, providing strategic recommendations.
  • Validate data accuracy against source systems, ensuring consistency and resolving discrepancies across reports.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, merchandising, operations, and finance teams to deliver actionable reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on database architecture, data integration, and pipeline improvements as the tech stack scales.

Requirements

  • 3 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a quantitative analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (BigQuery preferred) and experience with modern BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Advanced experience using Google Sheets for ad hoc analysis, data modeling, and automated reporting.
  • Proven ability to design clear, intuitive dashboards and translate complex data sets into strategic executive summaries.
  • Experience with or strong domain interest in e-commerce, retail, consumer products, or manufacturing businesses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Fluent English is mandatory, as the role involves regular collaboration with an international team.
  • Must be based in Latin America.

Bonus Points

  • Experience using Python for data manipulation, automation, or scripting.
  • Background in financial reporting, gross margin analysis, contribution margin, or P&L structures.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon Seller Central) or ERP system integrations.
  • Academic degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Benefits

  • Compensation in USD
  • Fully remote work within Latin America with flexible time schedules
  • Career growth with international clients and dynamic projects
  • This is a long-term independent contractor agreement with no additional benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, etc.
