Channel Marketing Manager, Commercial

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Channel Marketing Manager, Commercial based remotely in the United States.

The Channel Marketing Manager, Commercial will play a key role in developing and expanding channel marketing initiatives across industrial and automotive markets. This position offers the opportunity to build new programs, strengthen distributor and wholesale partnerships, and shape the future of commercial channel growth. Working closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams, you will translate business priorities into actionable marketing strategies that drive sales and customer engagement. You will develop partner co-marketing initiatives, manage investment plans, and use financial analysis to demonstrate business impact. The role is ideal for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded marketer who thrives in evolving environments and enjoys creating strategies from the ground up. You will join a collaborative, values-driven team that encourages innovation, shared ownership, continuous learning, and meaningful contributions.

Accountabilities

  • Channel Marketing Strategy: Partner with sales and commercial leadership to develop and execute channel marketing strategies that increase sell-in and drive product demand and pull-through among distributor and wholesale customers across industrial and automotive markets.

  • Distributor Partnerships and Co-Marketing: Build and strengthen relationships with distribution partners, creating joint marketing programs that support shared commercial objectives. Develop co-marketing initiatives, trade promotions, and joint business planning activities tailored to partner needs and market opportunities.

  • Marketing Investment and Financial Planning: Develop financial models and business cases for channel marketing programs, including market development funds (MDF), advertising, and promotional investments. Independently assess expected performance, establish success measures, track results, and use financial insights to guide investment decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Marketing, Pricing, Commercial Operations, Marketing Communications, and Sales to turn business priorities into coordinated, executable channel initiatives. Ensure marketing activities support commercial objectives and deliver measurable value.

  • Program Development and Execution: Build channel programs from the ground up, identifying opportunities, defining priorities, coordinating stakeholders, and establishing processes that support sustainable growth across established and emerging markets.

  • Strategic Adaptability and Continuous Improvement: Navigate changing priorities and evolving business needs with confidence. Reassess plans when market conditions or commercial strategies shift, identify new opportunities, and refine channel initiatives to maximize effectiveness and long-term impact.

  • Commercial Growth and Performance Measurement: Evaluate channel program effectiveness, identify opportunities to improve distributor engagement and sales performance, and communicate results and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: Five to eight years of experience in B2B channel marketing, with direct ownership of distributor or wholesale relationships on the manufacturer side. Candidates should have experience developing and executing channel programs rather than solely managing or optimizing existing initiatives.

  • Industry and Channel Knowledge: Experience working within product-based B2B distribution or wholesale channels, with an understanding of how manufacturers collaborate with distributors to support product adoption, customer engagement, and commercial growth. Experience relevant to industrial or automotive markets is beneficial.

  • Financial and Business Acumen: Strong commercial judgment and financial skills, including the ability to independently model program performance, develop business cases, evaluate marketing investments, and measure results against business objectives.

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required. An MBA is welcomed but not essential; demonstrated experience and a strong track record of results are highly valued.

  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify market opportunities, prioritize initiatives, develop practical channel strategies, and make informed decisions using financial and business insights.

  • Collaboration and Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with distributors, sales leaders, and cross-functional partners. Must be comfortable aligning stakeholders around shared goals and translating strategy into execution.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive, adaptable approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to work through ambiguity, build programs from the ground up, and adjust direction as business needs evolve.

  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed to support distributor relationships, commercial initiatives, and business priorities.

Benefits:

  • Remote Work Flexibility: Remote position based in the United States.

  • Collaborative Team Culture: Opportunity to work with an established commercial channel team recognized for innovation, leadership, mentorship, and sales performance.

  • Professional Development: A learning-oriented environment that encourages employees to pursue career goals, build new capabilities, and contribute to continuous improvement.

  • Meaningful Ownership: The opportunity to create channel marketing programs, influence commercial strategy, and contribute directly to business growth.

  • Values-Driven Workplace: An inclusive, collaborative culture focused on shared values, recognition, respect, and a sense of belonging.

  • Employee Recognition: A workplace that emphasizes acknowledging contributions and celebrating individual and team achievements.
