  • Analyze usage metrics and user behaviors behind content consumption, as well as conduct frequent and ongoing viewership and market analysis to inform acquisition decisions and content strategy
  • Support and carry out deal-making by vetting and selecting content, creating financial models to forecast performance, participating in negotiation, and communicating deal parameters internally.
  • Develop and own relationships with content partners across the content industry, regularly communicating Hulu’s strategy and needs to the marketplace
  • Complete long term and ad-hoc projects, including competitive analysis, to support the broader strategy of the Content Acquisition team and Hulu overall
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Brand, Scheduling, PR, and Product to optimize the performance of films on Hulu

WHAT TO BRING

  • Excellent analytical skills and financial modeling capabilities, with deep attention to detail and MBA-level Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build influential relationships internally and externally
  • Great business judgment, proven strategic thinking, and demonstrated consensus building skills
  • Negotiation experience is desired as this role will demand external facing deal management
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving and sometimes high-stakes media environment, prioritizing and handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Practical, consistent and effective empathy/high EQ is a hallmark of this team, and important to success in this role

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • MBA
  • Experience writing television development coverage

The hiring range for this position in CA is $123,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
