Mastery-based progression, AI-driven tutoring, and a structural break from traditional classrooms underpin this performance. The outcomes speak for themselves. We now need a leader who can align execution across varied school implementations, elevate academic leadership quality, and represent this approach as its public advocate—anchored in learning science rigor.<br><br>This is a leadership position, not a theoretical exercise. You will be accountable for academic strategy in action, establish performance standards, diagnose execution shortfalls, and develop high-performing teams to achieve concrete results. You will connect our scientific underpinnings to operational excellence and champion this model to external audiences.<br><br><strong>What You Will Be Doing<br><br></strong><ul><li>Designing academic frameworks that operationalize learning science principles into actionable direction for curriculum development, motivational architecture, and application design.</li><li>Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school-level teams maintain alignment, accountability, and measurable performance.</li><li>Analyzing data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation to produce academic ecosystem assessments that identify critical bottlenecks to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions.</li><li>Establishing strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on student learning objectives.</li><li>Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile contexts, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, to influence global perspectives on education systems.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Won’t Be Doing<br><br></strong><ul><li>Working on disconnected curriculum initiatives that fail to create systemic impact.</li><li>Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational implementation.</li><li>Transferring accountability for team performance to mid-level managers or external advisors.</li><li>Depending on institutional credibility or conceptual arguments to win over skeptical audiences.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Director Of Learning Strategy Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Expand and strengthen the validated academic model of 2 Hour Learning by aligning execution across multiple school environments, raising leadership performance expectations, and serving as the authoritative public representative of a movement rooted in evidence-based learning science and demonstrated outcomes.<br><br><strong>Basic Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field</li><li>At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions</li><li>Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards</li><li>Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.</li><li>Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)</li><li>Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting<br><br></li></ul><strong>About 2 Hour Learning<br><br></strong>Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
