<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>About the role</strong></span></p>
<p>Hungryroot is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead the development and execution of a centralized procurement function. This role will report directly into our VP of FP&A. This role will drive margin discipline, vendor governance, and scalable purchasing processes across the organization. The Director of Procurement will partner closely with Marketing, Technology and FP&A and business leaders to ensure spend scales responsibly and resources are allocated to the highest ROI opportunities.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Build and lead Hungryroot’s procurement strategy, operating model, and policies</li>
<li>Own enterprise-wide vendor spend visibility, sourcing, and negotiation efforts</li>
<li>Drive pricing normalization, vendor consolidation, and contract discipline across key categories</li>
<li>Establish standardized procurement workflows, approval paths, and governance</li>
<li>Partner with FP&A to integrate procurement savings into budgeting and forecasting processes</li>
<li>Collaborate with Legal and Security teams to ensure appropriate contract terms and risk mitigation</li>
<li> Develop supplier performance metrics and ongoing vendor management processes</li>
<li>Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives with measurable financial impact</li>
<li>Support long-term scalability by building procurement infrastructure and tools</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply/vendor management</li>
<li>Proven track record of delivering cost savings and operational improvements at scale</li>
<li>Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management skills</li>
<li>Experience partnering with Finance/FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis</li>
<li>Ability to build processes and teams in a high-growth environment</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills with comfort working across spend data and vendor economics</li>
<li>Experience in consumer, e-commerce, food, or high-growth operating environments is preferred</li>
<li>Prior leadership experience building a procurement function from the ground up is a plus</li>
