Firefighter/EMT (Pre Certified)
Under general supervision, controls and extinguishes fires, protects life and property, and maintains all fire equipment. Receives and responds to fire alarms and other emergency calls performing the necessary functions and operations to efficiently handle any fireground situation. Performs fire inspections and pre-fire planning, minor vehicle and equipment maintenance, and other related tasks. Must be able to exert up to one hundred pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to fifty pounds of force frequently, and/or up to twenty pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Medium work must be able to lift and/or carry weights of ten to one hundred pounds.
