Functional Prototype Designer Needed for Consumer Product

We are looking for someone to help complete a functional prototype for a physical consumer product.

IMPORTANT:

This is NOT intended to be the final manufacturable version of the product.

We already have CAD concepts for a more advanced/manufacturable version, but for this phase we want to simplify the internal functionality as much as possible while still achieving a convincing working prototype.

The goal is:

- functional demonstration

- light usability testing

- content creation

- investor/customer presentation

The outside appearance should resemble the intended product design, but the internal systems can be simplified significantly.

We are specifically looking for practical problem solving and fast iteration — not overengineering.

Simple functional solutions are preferred over complex manufacturing-level engineering at this stage.

Project includes:

- extending/retracting handle functionality

- simplified internal liquid dispensing functionality

- removable/stretch-fit exfoliating wrap concept

- general prototype assembly and functionality

Ideal candidate:

- strong prototype mindset

- CAD and 3D printing experience

- experience building physical consumer product prototypes

- good communication and reasonable turnaround times
