About Amazon & Our Culture

Reverse logistics is a massive, highly critical part of Amazon's business. Our Returns Centers handle millions of items that need to be processed, graded, and restocked or recycled. If you have an eye for detail and prefer a stationary, analytical environment over traditional, heavy-lifting warehouse jobs, this is an incredible opportunity. We offer steady Amazon jobs focused on quality and sustainability.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"Working in returns is completely different from outbound packing. Every day is like a treasure hunt figuring out what came back and why. It's less physically demanding than picking, and the management team is incredibly supportive. I've found my long-term home in these supply chain operations." - Current Returns Associate.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a Returns Processing Associate, you will be stationed at a computer terminal, opening returned customer packages to evaluate the condition of the merchandise and determine its next steps.

  • Condition Grading: Carefully inspect returned items for use, damage, or missing parts, following strict digital prompt guidelines to grade the item (e.g., Sellable, Damaged, Liquidate).
  • Data Entry: Accurately input return reason codes and item conditions into the warehouse management system to process customer refunds accurately.
  • Repackaging: Clean, re-bag, and re-label items that are deemed perfectly sellable so they can be reintroduced to the active inventory network.

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
