North America Client Team Analyst

About the position

The North America (NAMR) Client Team is an operational function supporting BCG’s investment and client relationship processes. The Client Team Analyst keeps time-sensitive investment and pricing requests moving by triaging submissions, identifying missing or risky details, routing requests to the appropriate leaders, and helping the Client Team Chair make timely decisions. The role supports the daily investment approval process, including tracking, syndication, and follow-up; monthly tracking and distribution of global investment budget and spend; and preparation of recurring investment reports and materials. It also involves applying emerging AI capabilities to streamline workflows and improve the review process, responding to MDPs and leadership, supporting Client Team initiatives and ad hoc requests, and maintaining confidentiality. The role may evolve as business needs change and offers professional growth opportunities. The analyst works daily with the NAMR Client Team Chair and a small Client Team, and partners with Commercial Directors, local Finance, System Leaders, and the Global Client Team. The position follows a hybrid model, with an expectation to work in the office 3 to 5 days per week; it is not intended for remote or virtual work. For Boston-based employees, expected total annualized compensation includes a base salary of \$84,000–\$104,000, an annual discretionary performance bonus of 0–12%, a 5% Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution that increases to 10% after two years of service, and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Assess requests for completeness and urgency, make judgment calls about escalation, and keep MDPs, Commercial Directors, and the Chair aligned.
  • Explore and apply emerging AI capabilities to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve investment reviews.
  • Contribute to monthly tracking and distribution of global investment budget and spend, reconcile data, resolve discrepancies, and surface insights for leadership.
  • Prepare and maintain recurring investment reports and materials accurately, consistently, and on time.
  • Serve as a point of contact for MDPs and leadership, responding quickly and clearly.
  • Support the NAMR Executive Director and Directors with Client Team initiatives, including MDP workshops and communications, and with ad hoc requests.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Take ownership of recurring processes and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, global, service-oriented environment.
  • Write short, clear, and actionable emails; communicate confidently and build trust across organizational levels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate processes, learn new tools and skills, and solve problems with sound judgment and creativity.
  • Build collaborative working relationships with business partners across teams, levels, and locations.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
