Oracle Software Engineer

<p><strong>Description of work / project:</strong></p><p>This role serves as a Senior Engineer on an Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation, joining the program at project initiation and working in close partnership with the System Integrator (SI) to architect and engineer the end to end solution. Proven, hands on Oracle Fusion Cloud experience is required.</p><p>The position is responsible for delivering high quality, scalable technical solutions on the Oracle Fusion Cloud platform, with a strong focus on development, configuration, integration, and ongoing support. The Senior Engineer operates with minimal supervision, taking ownership of design decisions and execution within their domain while ensuring alignment with overall solution architecture.</p><p>A successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of delivering complex technical solutions within aggressive timelines and collaborating effectively across business, functional, and technical teams—including close coordination with the SI during design and build phases.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Performance expectations: </strong></p><p>Leads and participates in all phases of software development life cycle including planning, system design, scope definition, development, maintenance, and support of software solutions:</p><p>• Works with team and independently to formulate system scope, objectives, requirements, and documentation.</p><p>• Write high quality, well-documented and scalable code choosing appropriate approved modern programming languages that suits developmental needs.</p><p>• Proactively communicate and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams, infrastructure, and other members of the Development team</p><p>• Provides technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to new employees and junior developers to enable effective software application development.</p><p>• Leads, directs, and works with team members to develop, maintain and improve critical internal and external applications.</p><p>• Adapts quickly to changing requirements, progresses and evolves goals and strategies, and implements emerging technologies as required</p><p>• Ensures all programming, design, production control, data validation and quality control standards are met.</p><p>• Perform analysis of business/functional requirements and determine appropriate technical solutions</p><p>• Develop technical design documents to meet business/system requirements</p><p>• Analyze, develop, and update technical design documents to meet business and system requirements</p><p>• Participate and lead the team design and code review sessions</p><p>• Perform analysis on system processes to identify and recommend improvements</p><p>• Support system and user acceptance testing activities including issue resolution</p><p>• Maintains, supports and enhances applications including being part of on call rotation for production support which may include 24x7 support when required</p><p>• Perform evaluations and reviews that may include evaluation of new and existing software products</p><p>• Collaborate with teams to review and advise on system architectures from all integrated systems</p><p>• Collaborate with development and project teams to develop user interface and database requirements for applications</p><p>• Other duties as assigned.</p>
