As our Video Editor, you’ll be the engine behind our post-production, turning raw footage into high-impact content that captures the grit of the trades. You’ll be responsible for a high volume of reels and long-form projects, ensuring every piece of content we release is sharp, authentic, and on-brand.

You’ll collaborate directly with our Director of Media Production and creative team to make sure everything is dialed in and meets the BCM standard. Whether you are working from our Kingston office or your own remote setup, you’ll help us keep pace with our rapid growth by balancing speed with creative quality.

  • *Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple short-form video projects at once, meeting deadlines while maintaining a well organized workflow
  • Edit content that captures the authentic, hard-working energy of trades-based businesses in diverse industries and locations
  • Efficiently manage post-production workflows for video projects, ensuring fast turnaround times while maintaining brand consistency and creative quality
  • Collaborate with internal teams (account managers, designers, editors) to brainstorm creative direction and deliver polished, high-converting visual assets for websites, social media, and advertising
  • Stay on top of trends in visual storytelling, editing techniques, and gear to continuously level up our production standards
  • Report directly to our Director of Media Production to align with our in the field content team
  • *Qualifications
  • Highly proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects & Creative Cloud Applications including Lightroom, and other industry-standard photo/video editing tools
  • Able to edit 8-12 video reels or 1-2 long form videos per day while maintaining clear lines of communication with our internal team of creatives
  • Skilled in motion graphics or text animation for short-form content (e.g., reels, ads,)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of AI tools for media creation (Higgsfield, etc) and editing, with the ability to integrate them into production workflows for increased efficiency and creativity
  • Able to balance speed and quality – you work fast without sacrificing the final deliverable
  • Able to juggle multiple client projects, utilizing internal CRM tools while contributing to the development of productivity workflows for our media operations
  • 2+ years of experience in video and photo production, preferably working with businesses or in an agency environment
  • Proficient with Google Drive and Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) for collaboration, file sharing, and project organization
  • Experience in developing advertising creative is a huge asset - your ability to foster virality will greatly build on your role with BCM
