[Remote] Amazon & E-commerce Marketing Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Basic Research is hiring an Amazon & E-commerce Marketing Manager to lead Amazon strategy and growth for SeroVital and Novex Biotech and manage the Novex Biotech Shopify store. The role owns channel plans, listings and SEO, promotions, site conversion, inventory coordination, and performance reporting across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Amazon and e-commerce strategy for SeroVital and Novex Biotech, including annual and quarterly plans, revenue and profitability goals, and market share targets
  • Decide where to focus: hero products, new launches, bundles, pricing, and which categories and keywords to win
  • Build the promotional calendar (Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, coupons, deals, Subscribe & Save) and lead planning across ads, creative, and Ops
  • Track competitors, category trends, pricing, and Buy Box, and adjust the plan quickly
  • Identify and lead growth opportunities in other marketplaces such as Walmart.com, Target Plus, and TikTok Shop
  • Set paid media priorities with the Ads Manager so ad spend supports overall goals: product focus, launch support, event plans, and target TACoS
  • Connect advertising and organic performance, using ads to build ranking and listing improvements to lift ad efficiency
  • Review ad and total-business results together each week and agree on next steps
  • Set and enforce listing standards across every ASIN: titles, bullets, descriptions, backend keywords, images, video, A+ / Premium A+ content, and Brand Store
  • Lead keyword research and Amazon SEO to grow organic ranking and visibility
  • Brief the creative team on main images, infographics, lifestyle images, and video, and approve final assets against our standards
  • Regularly audit listings, test improvements (e.g., Manage Your Experiments), and fix suppressed listings, catalog errors, and content issues
  • Grow ratings and reviews through compliant programs such as Vine, and protect the brand through Brand Registry and monitoring of unauthorized sellers
  • Send all listings, claims, and content through brand and compliance review, staying within FDA, FTC, and Amazon policy for supplements and beauty products
  • Manage the Novex Biotech Shopify site day to day: product pages, collections, navigation, pricing, merchandising, site content, and apps. Keep the site fast, mobile-friendly, and error-free
  • Own conversion rate (CVR) and revenue per visitor. Run a steady A/B testing program on landing pages, product pages, offers, and checkout to improve CVR, average order value, and subscription take rate
  • Plan and run site deals and offers: sitewide sales, bundles, discount codes, free-shipping thresholds, gift-with-purchase, upsells and cross-sells, and holiday and seasonal promotions, protecting margin along the way
  • Grow site traffic by partnering with the Head of Performance on paid traffic and landing pages, and by owning on-site SEO (keywords, meta data, product and blog content, technical SEO)
  • Partner on email and SMS programs (e.g., Klaviyo) for promotions, abandoned cart, post-purchase, and win-back flows to drive repeat purchases and retention
  • Grow and manage subscriptions (e.g., Recharge or Shopify subscriptions), including offers, retention, and reducing cancellations
  • Manage customer reviews and ratings on site, and work with Customer Service on returns, common questions, and feedback that should change the site
  • Keep tracking and analytics working correctly (GA4, Shopify analytics, pixels), and work with developers or agencies on site fixes, new features, and app setup
  • Own Novex site metrics: sessions, CVR, AOV, revenue, new vs. returning customers, subscription growth, and contribution margin
  • Partner with Operations on demand forecasting for Amazon and the Novex site, sharing promotion and growth plans early so inventory matches demand
  • Monitor FBA inventory levels, restock limits, and inventory health, and flag risks before they become stockouts or excess storage fees
  • Adjust promotions and ad spend when inventory is tight, and plan launches around supply
  • Own weekly and monthly reporting across Amazon and the Novex site: total sales, organic vs. paid sales, traffic, conversion, ranking, TACoS, AOV, in-stock rate, and contribution margin by product
  • Share results and recommendations with leadership, and turn insights into clear next steps

Skills

  • 5+ years of Amazon and e-commerce experience at a consumer brand or e-commerce agency, including ownership of channel strategy and growth goals
  • Deep knowledge of Seller Central and/or Vendor Central, Brand Registry, A+ content, Brand Analytics, and Amazon's listing and catalog rules
  • Proven Amazon SEO and listing optimization results, and a strong eye for what makes product images and content convert
  • Hands-on experience managing a Shopify store, with a track record of improving conversion rate and AOV through testing
  • Experience planning and running e-commerce promotions, and working with tools such as Klaviyo, Recharge, GA4, and A/B testing platforms
  • Solid understanding of Amazon Ads strategy and metrics, enough to set direction and partner effectively with an ads specialist
  • Experience working with operations or supply chain on forecasting and FBA inventory planning
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets and with tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar
  • Proven ability to lead and influence across teams (ads, creative, Ops, and leadership) without slowing things down
  • Strong organization and follow-through across many SKUs, projects, and deadlines
  • Experience in supplements, beauty, or wellness, including Amazon category restrictions and claims guardrails
  • Experience growing Walmart Marketplace, Target Plus, or TikTok Shop
  • Basic HTML/CSS or Shopify Liquid skills, and experience with page builders or CRO tools
  • Experience with Amazon Marketing Cloud, Amazon Attribution, or DSP
  • Experience managing agencies or direct reports

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

    6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

    9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

    10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
