Retail Pharmacy Account Manager – Southeast US

Job Description:

  • Develop durable business and deepen collaboration with Retail Pharmacy Field Leaders
  • Grow appropriate use of Pfizer Primary Care Retail Pharmacy products
  • Ensure access to Pfizer's retail pharmacy portfolio through productive relationships and aligned projects and education
  • Engage local stakeholders and work across highly matrixed Pfizer and retail customer organizations
  • Report to the National Pharmacy Business Director and collaborate with Trade Account Directors, Sales, Account, Marketing, Medical, Legal, and Compliance teams
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with retail pharmacy decision makers and influencers
  • Leverage Pfizer's value proposition to create mutually beneficial business opportunities
  • Gather stakeholder insights and develop mutually beneficial action plans
  • Develop tailored account management approaches and prioritize customer projects
  • Train and compliantly share approved performance data with Retail Pharmacy Field Leaders
  • Use population health and immunization tools to identify geographic and demographic opportunities
  • Conduct account planning and project management using Pfizer resources
  • Implement and measure customer-aligned projects, education, and immunization initiatives
  • Track operationalization across communication, education, patient identification, execution, and stocking
  • Execute marketing programs and present approved materials to customers
  • Collaborate with Trade Account Directors, local Sales ABMs, and cross-functional field and headquarters teams
  • Provide geographic and customer insights to marketing and strategy teams
  • Facilitate understanding of local market and customer drivers
  • Share and scale proven practices across the region and nation
  • Meet customers live and virtually, including promotional exhibit opportunities
  • Comply with Pfizer policies, procedures, business conduct, and compliance standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of experience
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or retail-related experience, combining sales and marketing in pharmaceuticals or related industries
  • Valid US driver's license and driving record compliant with company standards
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed product performance objectives
  • Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment and leading through influence
  • Demonstrated ability to engage key decision makers with large accounts
  • Ability to formulate, develop, write, communicate, and monitor stakeholder business plans
  • Experience executing and overseeing highly complex programs and projects
  • Demonstrated collaboration and alignment across field and headquarters teams
  • Demonstrated customer-needs assessment and cross-functional resource utilization
  • Experience leveraging data to prioritize business opportunities
  • Strong understanding of the evolving US healthcare landscape, including US Healthcare Reform
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving, strategic thinking, project management, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in executive-level customer engagement presentations
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining public health arguments and clinical value propositions
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including domestic overnight travel as necessary
  • Must live in the geography or within a commutable distance to the majority of the geography
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States is required
  • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
  • Master's degree with at least 7+ years, PhD with 5+ years, or MD with 4+ years of experience is nice-to-have
  • Current Vaccines Experience is preferred
  • Advanced degree in a related field is preferred
  • Prior retail pharmacy or large-organized-customer account management experience is preferred
