This role provides data analysis, reporting, and execution support to ensure inventory readiness across new stores, pilots, promotions, and market changes. </div><div>This position partners closely with Merchandising, Replenishment, and Store Operations to identify risks, analyze trends, and improve in-stock performance. </div><div> </div><div>Key Responsibilities </div><div>Inventory Performance Analysis </div><div><ul><li>Analyze in-stock rates, forecast accuracy, and sell-through trends across markets. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify root causes of inventory imbalances and recommend corrective actions. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Support pre- and post-new store opening inventory reviews. </li></ul></div><div>Reporting & Insights </div><div><ul><li>Collaborate with analytics teams to design and build necessary tools and dashboards; analyze to identify areas of opportunity and actions required. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Provide weekly inventory insights to support field execution. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Monitor high-visibility showcase or pilot locations and flag performance gaps. </li></ul></div><div>Promotional & Event Support </div><div><ul><li>Support inventory planning for store events and promotional activities. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Analyze uplift performance and refine allocation assumptions. </li></ul></div><div>Market Monitoring </div><div><ul><li>Track competitor openings/closures and evaluate local demand shifts. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Support inventory response plans for market-level changes. </li></ul></div></div><div><div> </div><div>Core Competencies </div><div><ul><li>Strong analytical skills </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Decisive and creative problem-solving skills; ability to envision and implement sustainable solutions </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Advanced Excel proficiency, ability to interpret BI tools </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Foundational understanding of retail inventory & replenishment </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Clear written communication </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Attention to detail and execution discipline </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong ability to collaborate and build relationships </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to work autonomously and independently </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Scope & Impact </div><div><ul><li>Individual contributor </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Supports Manager/Lead with analytics </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Direct impact on reporting accuracy and inventory responsiveness </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Limited executive exposure (primarily supports) </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Experience Requirements </div><div><ul><li>3–5+ years of experience in retail inventory planning, replenishment, allocation, merchandising analytics, or store operations </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience supporting multi-store or omni retail environments preferred </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Demonstrated experience analyzing inventory KPIs (in-stock %, forecast accuracy, sell-through, weeks of supply) </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience supporting new store openings, promotions, or pilot initiatives preferred </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Exposure to inventory systems, ERP, or replenishment platforms </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience partnering cross-functionally in a matrixed organization </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Education Requirements </div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Analytics, Operations, or related field preferred, 5+ yrs experience within the disciplines required </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Advanced Excel proficiency required </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) preferred </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>APICS/CPIM certification preferred but not required </li></ul></div><div> #LI-AT2</div></div>#CORPPetco Animal Supplies, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
