Our client is a premier leisure and sports organization seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Director of Golf Operations & Experience to oversee and elevate all aspects of their golf offerings. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage operations and drive strategy from wherever you are most effective. You will be responsible for creating an unparalleled experience for golfers, managing staff, and ensuring the financial success of the golf division.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the overall golf experience, including course conditions, service standards, and member/guest engagement. Oversee daily golf operations, including tee time management, player assistance, and course maintenance coordination. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of golf professionals, turf management staff, and service personnel. Develop and manage the annual budget for the golf operations department, ensuring profitability and cost control. Implement and refine operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and service quality. Drive revenue growth through innovative programming, tournaments, leagues, and special events. Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental practices. Foster a positive and inclusive culture for both staff and guests. Analyze performance metrics and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote golf services and attract new clientele. Oversee the procurement and management of golf course equipment and inventory. Develop and implement player development programs and instructional offerings. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in golf course management and operations. Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams in a high-volume golf environment. Deep understanding of golf course agronomy, operations, and customer service best practices. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management, and revenue generation strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Experience with golf management software and POS systems. PGA or LPGA certification is highly desirable. Ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives. Demonstrated success in creating exceptional guest experiences. Capacity to work autonomously and effectively in a remote setting. Passion for the sport of golf and a commitment to excellence.
