Working Warehouse Operations Lead – E-commerce Fulfillment

Pay: $23–$27 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Location: Manayunk, Philadelphia, PA

About the position

We are a growing e-commerce company seeking a highly dependable, hands-on Warehouse Operations Lead. This is not a desk-management position. You will work directly alongside a small fulfillment team while gradually taking responsibility for keeping daily warehouse operations organized, productive and on schedule.

The right person will begin by learning every part of our operation, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving and inventory organization. After demonstrating strong performance and judgment, this person will take on responsibility for opening and securing the facility, directing daily work and keeping fulfillment running when the owner is away.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Work alongside the fulfillment team throughout the day
• Organize daily workloads and keep employees productive
• Ensure all eligible orders ship before required deadlines
• Open and secure the warehouse after completing the training period
• Monitor inventory and report shortages or discrepancies
• Receive and organize incoming products and supplies
• Handle routine shipping, label and carrier issues
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment
• Communicate problems immediately and provide clear operational updates
• Help improve warehouse procedures as the business grows
• Keep operations running smoothly when the owner is away

What we are looking for

• Excellent attendance, punctuality and reliability
• Previous warehouse, shipping, fulfillment or distribution experience
• Prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Ability to lead a small team while performing physical warehouse work
• Strong work ethic and ability to remain productive without constant supervision
• Good judgment, honesty and attention to detail
• Ability to follow established processes and enforce workplace expectations
• Comfortable learning shipping software and e-commerce fulfillment systems
• Ability to lift up to ___ pounds and remain active throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation to Manayunk
• Professional references from previous supervisors

Compensation and advancement

Starting pay is $23–$27 per hour, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated ability.
