X/Twitter Community Manager (San Francisco)

Job Description Job Description

We're looking for a Head of Community who will help build and grow the community around Reserve as we build it.

This role is equal parts community builder, relationship manager, and cultural connector. You'll work closely with the founders and team to bring people together, build meaningful relationships, and create experiences that make people want to be part of what we're building.

We're building around two connected ideas: creating more economic opportunity for a new generation of people earning, building, and creating online, and rethinking what money itself can be. You'll help bring together the people who share these interests, from creators and entrepreneurs to founders, builders, and people thinking differently about the future of money.

We want someone who naturally brings people together, recognizes interesting people and opportunities, and knows how to turn connections into a community people genuinely want to be part of.

This is a full-time, on-site role in San Francisco. Relocation support will be provided.

About Us

Our purpose is to increase economic opportunity and make better money. We’re doing that through two connected parts that together make up the Reserve project.

Economic Opportunity

UGLYCASH is a financial services app designed around the needs of people earning money on the internet: creators, remote workers, freelancers, and entrepreneurs whose banks weren’t built for how they earn.

We’re starting in Latin America. Over the last 22 months, UGLYCASH has reached $5M+ in revenue run rate and 32,000+ monthly active customers.

Better Money

What happens to that money after you earn it matters too.

Cash, money in a bank account, and payment stablecoins each work differently. We believe the money people use should do more than move from one place to another. It should also give people a better way to save and grow what they earn.

That’s why we’re continuing to improve the version of money UGLYCASH customers already use, with the long term goal of giving more people access to better options for their money.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and grow communities across the Reserve project, including UGLYCASH and our broader Better Money initiatives
  • Manage and engage with our online communities, particularly on X, and help create meaningful conversations around what we're building
  • Develop relationships with creators, founders, entrepreneurs, builders, and people aligned with our mission
  • Create, curate, and coordinate community content, including live streams, online resources, discussions, and social content
  • Work closely with the founders and team to identify interesting people, communities, and opportunities worth bringing together
  • Plan and execute in-person community events, meetups, dinners, workshops, and experiences
  • Help turn our San Francisco space into a place where interesting people want to spend time, connect, and collaborate
  • Build recurring community initiatives and experiences that keep people engaged beyond individual events
  • Develop and scale community infrastructure, including relationship management, support systems, and moderation processes
  • Collect and synthesize community feedback to help inform product development and improve the customer experience
  • Collaborate with our Head of Social Media and Film Creator to turn community conversations and experiences into compelling content
  • Serve as a public-facing ambassador for Reserve, representing the company at events, online, and within relevant communities
  • Continuously experiment with new ways to grow, engage, and strengthen our community

Requirements

What we look for in you:

  • Located in the United States and willing to move to San Francisco after hire (relocation support provided)
  • You're a strong storyteller with an instinct for finding the story people actually care about.
  • You have experience building and growing an audience — ideally across Instagram and a writing-led platform like Substack.
  • You know how to develop clear content pillars and recurring formats that build a recognizable voice.
  • You think in narratives, not just individual posts.
  • You have strong editorial and creative taste and know what feels culturally relevant.
  • You're deeply internet-native and understand how people consume, share, and engage with content online.
  • You're strategic but hands-on — you can shape the story and make sure it gets executed.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $10,000 - $15,000 per month & equity/token grant
  • Healthcare coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans
  • Nomadic/remote work opportunities: Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely for 2 months a year
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Parental & Bereavement Leave: Paid parental leave for new parents, including maternity, paternity, and adoption leave

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
