Forklift Operator Weekend 1st Shift

Join to apply for the Forklift Operator Weekend 1st Shift role at Romark Logistics . Shift available: Saturday–Monday 6 am–6 pm (Weekends). Pay: $20.00/hour. Responsibilities Follow good housekeeping and GMP to maintain a safe and clean working environment, including cleaning debris, sweeping aisles, cleaning up spills, and picking up trash. Use a freight pick list to complete freight picking orders by identifying the correct location, verifying SKU and case count. Follow proper freight picking procedures using \"Countback\" to verify the accuracy of freight picked and remaining inventory. Use an RF scanner in a computerized inventory control system to manage product movements throughout the warehouse. Ensure all product picked is damage‑free and properly palletized for stability during transport. Properly account for loose or damaged cases following the proper procedures to reconcile inventory and either dispose of, return to inventory or recoup product. Prepare freight‑picked pallet for transport by wrapping the pallet and securing any loose cases. Use the WMS system to identify product drop zones (aisle) or staging areas (dock door) for transport. Inspect pallets to ensure product is damage‑free, properly wrapped, securely positioned and stable. Ensure pallets placed at staging areas are even and have proper spacing for inspection by loaders; seek assistance to double‑stack pallets to use dock space efficiently. Ensure pallets transported into aisles for put‑away are placed one bay off the final location to allow room for put‑away. Operate a variety of material handling equipment including deep reach and stand‑up forklifts, slip‑sheet machines, stock pickers and rider‑walkways. Perform all other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications High school education or GED preferred. Previous experience operating MHE and warehouse experience preferred. Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet. Ability to operate all equipment associated with a warehousing environment (forklift, cherry picker, deep reach, pacer, electric pallet jack, RF scanner). Ability to frequently lift at least 60 pounds. Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift. Must meet DOT sight and hearing requirements. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to work daily and on weekend overtime to meet business needs.
