Personal Assistant / Executive Errand Runner (Part-Time)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, trustworthy, and flexible Personal Assistant to provide as-needed support for a busy executive in the Gainesville, Florida area.

This position is ideal for someone seeking supplemental income and a highly flexible schedule. Work is performed on an as-needed basis, with most assignments provided approximately 24 hours in advance. Hours will vary depending on need, averaging approximately 5–15 hours per week.

The role involves a variety of personal and business-related errands and projects. No two weeks are the same. One day may involve shopping, deliveries, or meeting a service provider, while another may involve coordinating vehicle maintenance, assisting with household projects, or handling a special request. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a dynamic environment, and can be counted on to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Run personal and executive-related errands
  • Pick up, deliver, and transport items as needed
  • Assist with shopping, returns, and miscellaneous purchases
  • Meet with contractors, vendors, and service providers as needed
  • Manage vehicle-related tasks, including scheduling maintenance, repairs, inspections, detailing, and service appointments
  • Assist with household-related projects and tasks
  • Assist with travel-related errands and preparations
  • Serve as a reliable local resource for a variety of executive, household, and logistical needs

Requirements

  • Must reside in Gainesville, FL
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable personal vehicle and proof of insurance
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality
  • Comfortable handling a variety of tasks and changing priorities
  • Ability to respond to assignments with approximately 24 hours' notice

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant, concierge, household manager, or similar role
  • Flexible availability for assignments provided with short notice
  • Ability to complete time-sensitive requests
  • Additional evening and weekend hours may be available based on mutual interest and availability

Compensation

  • Independent Contractor (1099)
  • Flexible, as-needed schedule
  • Approximately 5–15 hours per week
  • $20.00–$22.50 per hour, based on experience
