Remote Seasonal Tax Preparer

Pretty Simple Taxes LLC is hiring 10 seasonal tax preparers for the upcoming tax season.

This is a remote independent contractor opportunity. You will prepare tax returns, work with your own clients, and receive training and support from our tax office.

Pay

Preparers start with a 60/40 split.

You keep 60% of your tax preparation revenue.

After completing 25 clients, you may become eligible for a higher pay split.

Clients are not provided. You must be willing to market your services and build your own client base. We provide marketing training and resources to help you.

Training

Training begins October 19, 2026.

You must complete and pass the required training before preparing client returns.

Attendance is required. If you miss more than 2 required training sessions or meetings without approval, you may be removed from the team.

Requirements

  • PTIN required before preparing tax returns If you do not currently have a PTIN, we can provide instructions on how to apply for one Meet applicable IRS requirements Complete and pass tax training Have a computer and reliable internet Be comfortable working remotely Be dependable and professional Be willing to market and build your own client base Follow IRS rules and due diligence requirements Protect all client information

Previous tax preparation experience is helpful, but not required.

We are looking for motivated, dependable people who are serious about learning tax preparation and earning seasonal income.

Only 7 positions are available. Training starts October 19, 2026.

Pay: $300.00 - $2,000.00 per week
