Seasonal Part-Time Digital Content Desk AssistantInglewood, California, United StatesThe NFL Digital Media team is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time Digital Content Desk Assistant who is tasked with assisting the NFL Media Assignment Desk in all phases of the newsgathering process for digital content. This role requires working with others at various levels on the assignment desk. The role will work closely with NFL.com editorial staff as well as ticker operators and content producers.Essential FunctionsPotential candidates must meet the following criteria and perform the following duties:Must be able to follow instructions and work well with others in a fast-paced environmentAbility to multi-task and prioritize daily assignmentsStrong attention to detailDemonstrate strong communication skills both verbally and writtenAbility to meet deadlines under pressure situationsStrong football knowledge and awareness of NFL events and stories, ability to quickly identify players and coachesFamiliar with utilizing social media for content gatheringComfortable with proactive outreach via phone, social media or emailExperience in copy-editing preferredKnowledge of Premiere or Adobe a plusKnowledge of Tagboard a plusMust be flexible with work schedule including weekends and holidaysRequired Education and Experience4-year degree or equivalent education1+ years in a newsroom or journalism environmentPreferred Education and ExperiencePrevious professional experience in TV Production environment is strongly preferred.Other Key Attributes / CharacteristicsMust have strong editorial skills and NFL knowledge to know what video and soundbites are best to editMust be able to respond quickly on short deadlinesMust be able to respond positively to criticismA team attitude is mandatory in all tasks requested from the smallest to largestTerms / Expected Hours of Work30 hours or less a week over a 7-month periodMay include weekend shiftsPart-time, non-exemptThis is an in-office positionno remote workSalary / Pay RangeThis job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified.
