Construction & Industrial Sales Professional
Job Description:
- Drive profitable sales for the Construction & Industrial business in the assigned territory
- Develop, implement, and execute effective territory business plans
- Prioritize end customers, markets, and distributors for effective territory management
- Implement promotions and directives set by division management
- Collaborate across other Construction & Industrial territories and 3M EMD Divisions to meet customer needs
- Travel domestically up to 50%
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, completed and verified prior to start, and three (3) years of direct sales and/or electrical construction/industrial experience
- OR Associate's degree, completed and verified prior to start, and five (5) years of electrical industry sales experience
- Current, valid driver's license
- Sales experience in the Electric Construction & Industrial Market preferred as an additional qualification
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Aptitude to understand and train customers on multiple product lines and applications
- Field/channel sales experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to all levels
- Ability to qualify and prioritize sales opportunities within assigned territory
- Experience working in a matrix environment or large complex organization
- Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce.com, and database management
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with peers
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle history review required for company vehicle driving
