Job TitleFor over 35 years, Multifab, Inc. has provided high-quality plastic products to customers in Aerospace, Medical, Dental, Construction, Industrial Packaging, Sporting Goods, and Specialty Products.The Purchaser is responsible for material source selection and procurement functions, processing purchase orders, and tracking inventory supply while collaborating with associates to ensure customer satisfaction.Job Shift:Mon - Fri (8:00 am to 5:00 pm)ResponsibilitiesPurchase order monitoringProfessionally handle incoming requests from sales, engineering, and production and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughlyProvide timely turn-around on all purchase orders to ensure adequate delivery of goods and servicesAbility to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing, and delivery based on a specific budget and schedule requirementsDetermine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, purchasing more products when necessaryHandle internal procurement for both manufacturing and packaging divisionMaintain working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures (e.g., demonstrate a complete understanding of buying and pricing products)Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, item numbers, reports, and price-listsCompare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliersCalculate costs of orders and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accountsLocate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products to be orderedDemonstrate ability to comprehend, execute and maintain QMS per company requirementsDemonstrate ability to correctly identify products/materials by color, size, type, and item numberWork directly with vendors and the quality department about non-conforming materials and SCARSPromptly identify and communicate potential disruptions in productionEnsure products are ordered and arrive on time to meet production schedulesMaintain vendor metrics including but not limited to, one-time delivery and qualityAbility to negotiate the best freight and delivery rates based on a specific budget and schedule requirementsOperate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers while following Company Confidentiality requirementsUtilize computerized data entry equipment and various word processing, spreadsheet, and file maintenance programs to enter, store and/or retrieve informationManage time to determine priorities in order to effectively accomplish a broad range of activitiesContinuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer's experienceCommunicates in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner with all employees, customers, and others with whom we may workContributes to a successful workgroup and fosters a team-oriented culture through positive interactions, active listening, meaningful collaborations, high employee engagement, and the constructive exchange of ideas designed to meet or exceed the organization's strategic goalsFollow all Company Policies, Procedures, and ProtocolsOther duties will be assigned during the course of employmentRequirementsKnowledge of administrative and clerical proceduresKnowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)Negotiation and business relations skillsStrong industry experience for accurate product/service quality assessmentsMust pass a negative pre-employment drug screenMultifab OffersPaid time off (78 hours-130 hours based on time in role)7 paid holidaysMedical, vision, and dental, eligible after 60 days of employmentLife insurance- 100% paid by the employer401 (k) eligible after one year of service (open enrollment in January or July)Washington employees are covered by the Washington State Paid Family & Medical leave benefitEmployee appreciation eventsEmployee referral programAll final applicants receiving job offers for any position will have job offers conditioned upon satisfactorily passing, or receiving a negative pre-employment drug test result.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesMultifab Inc. celebrates diversity in the workplace and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination or harassment based on age, disability, equal pay, genetic information, national origin, pregnancy, race/color, religion, retaliation, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation, and any other protected characteristics outlined by state, federal, and local laws.
